Overview of the Role
County Fabrications is a rapidly growing metalwork fabrication business, specialising in high-quality, low-volume, and high-value projects in both mild and stainless steel. With continued expansion and a strong order book, the company is seeking an experienced fabricator who demonstrates both skill and a positive attitude. While prior fabrication experience is desirable, training will be provided for candidates who show strong potential and an excellent work ethic. The successful applicant will contribute to a variety of interesting projects within a business that is developing positively and progressively. Job requirements

Key Duties

  • Manufacture assemblies and steel structures to a high standard of accuracy, as detailed in fabrication drawings

  • Fabricate various steels and grades within the scope of expertise

  • Mark out and drill materials in line with technical drawings

  • Read, interpret, and work from drawings and sketches

  • Contribute to the ongoing development and success of the engineering team

Skills and Attributes

  • Strong, all-round fabrication ability

  • High personal work standards and attention to detail

  • Ability to work to reasonable and achievable time targets

  • Confidence to use initiative while seeking guidance when required

  • Coded welding experience advantageous but not essential

  • Willingness to learn new skills, processes, and methods

  • Reliable and punctual

Salary
Competitive market rates, negotiable depending on experience.

Hours of Work

  • 39 hours per week plus overtime

  • Early finish on Fridays

  • 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
