Position Available: Labourer (Manufacturing) – Back Shift
Due to ongoing growth, ADS Laser Cutting is seeking a motivated Labourer (Manufacturing) to support its back shift production processes.
Role Profile:
The successful candidate will assist in the operation of laser cutting and folding equipment, handle and transport sheet metal, unload items from the paint line, wrap and pack finished products, and perform general workshop duties.

Key Responsibilities:
Laser and Folding Support:
Assist with the setup and unloading of laser cutting machines and press brakes
Handle cut and folded parts carefully to prevent damage or deformation
Organise and stack processed materials in designated locations
Material Handling:
Transport raw materials and sheet metal to various workstations
Load and unload materials manually or using pallet jacks, forklifts, or trolleys
Maintain tidy storage areas and ensure proper stock rotation
Unloading the Paint Line:
Remove components from the paint line
Conduct visual inspections for paint defects and sort items accordingly
Wrapping and Packing:
Wrap products using protective materials such as foam or shrink wrap
Pack items securely for storage or dispatch, in line with company standards
General Labouring Duties:
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas
Provide support to machine operators, welders, and other skilled staff
Assist with loading/unloading deliveries and other shop floor tasks as required
Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes:
Previous experience in a skilled labouring role
Knowledge of sheet metal work is desirable but not essential
Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively within a team
Good physical fitness and capability to lift heavy objects (up to 25 kg)
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools is advantageous
Strong communication skills and a positive work attitude
A valid driving licence is beneficial but not essential
Commitment to maintaining health and safety standards
Benefits:
Hourly rate: £12.50 – £13.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
