The Role
Siddall & Hilton is currently recruiting for Manufacturing Operatives (Machine Operators) to join its production team. Successful candidates will begin with a structured training programme, equipping them with the skills to operate advanced, fully automated mesh welding machinery.

Competitive salary: £30,000 per annum (including shift premium), increasing to £31,600 upon successful training completion

Job requirements
Key Responsibilities
Complying with all health and safety protocols at all times
Operating high-speed, automated resistance welding machines
Performing machine setting adjustments to maximise efficiency and meet production targets
Conducting complex machine setups based on technical drawings
Collaborating with colleagues to troubleshoot issues and improve processes
Performing quality checks to ensure products meet specification tolerances
Maintaining a clean and organised work area to high housekeeping standards
Candidate Profile
Essential Attributes:
A strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
Basic computer literacy
Comfortable working with hand tools (e.g., Allen keys, hammers, screwdrivers)
Willingness and ability to work rotating shifts (early, late, night)
Desirable (but not essential, as training can be provided):
Basic understanding of engineering drawings and measurements
Valid forklift truck (FLT) licence
GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English, grade C or above
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Familiarity with welding automation or mesh production
