ISF York are seeking an experienced process equipment installation specialist with a background in animal feed mills or industrial plant and machinery installation to join their management team. The ideal candidate will have on-site installation experience in process engineering and a desire for new challenges.

ISF is a leading engineering solutions provider in the UK's Animal Feed Manufacturing industry, specializing in manufacturing, installing, maintaining, and repairing processing machinery for animal feed mills nationwide.

This role offers an opportunity for an experienced Installation Coordinator/Engineer to join their skilled team, managing projects installing mechanical equipment in clients' animal feed mills across Yorkshire and the UK. About you:

They seek an experienced problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a background in installing mechanical or processing equipment, ideally in related industries such as animal feed, bio-mass, conveying, or bulk handling systems.

The role involves managing projects of various scales, from small parts replacements to turnkey installations, including overseeing installation personnel and subcontractors. The candidate should be adept at handling multiple projects concurrently, typically up to £250k in value, and possess familiarity with industry health and safety requirements, such as method statements and risk assessments.

Job requirements

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating the installation of projects and liaising with the client for arrangements and planning.
  • Managing a small team.
  • Communicating with the ISF sales and design teams to effectively coordinate manufacturing processes within our workshop, as well as site operations during the installation phase.
  • Communicating directly with the site engineers to plan, manage and execute the installation, including the creation of site project packs to distribute the relevant information.
  • Managing installations to current CDM regulations and carrying out site risk assessments to create detailed safe working procedures for the installation.
  • Ensuring all works comply with the company’s quality management procedures, by updating project files to keep track of budget and project history and ordering project specific items and equipment.
  • UK wide travel to oversee projects, including overnight stays.
