Job description
Role Overview
This position requires delivering a timely and professional sales estimating service to customers in accordance with company procedures, with a focus on building long-term relationships and differentiating Airedale Springs from competitors.
Job requirements
Key Duties
Managing the enquiry process in line with company procedures, identifying potential opportunities, and working with the Sales Office Lead to develop appropriate account strategies.
Liaising with production and technical teams regarding customer design queries, technical specifications, and production capabilities.
Coordinating with suppliers and sub-contractors to source relevant materials and services that meet customer specification requirements.
Producing accurate, professional, and timely customer quotations.
Maintaining communication with customers regarding the status of their enquiries and obtaining feedback following quotation.
Managing live opportunities by maintaining regular contact with customers to facilitate conversion to orders.
Key Competencies
A strong understanding of engineering, including the ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
Proficiency in IT systems, including design software.
Effective and confident communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with both external customers and suppliers, as well as internally within the Airedale Springs team.
An organised and methodical approach to work, with the ability to plan, meet deadlines, and monitor performance against objectives.
Self-motivated and proactive, demonstrating a high level of initiative, responsibility, and problem-solving skills.
