Role Overview

This position requires delivering a timely and professional sales estimating service to customers in accordance with company procedures, with a focus on building long-term relationships and differentiating Airedale Springs from competitors.

 

Job requirements

Key Duties

  • Managing the enquiry process in line with company procedures, identifying potential opportunities, and working with the Sales Office Lead to develop appropriate account strategies.

  • Liaising with production and technical teams regarding customer design queries, technical specifications, and production capabilities.

  • Coordinating with suppliers and sub-contractors to source relevant materials and services that meet customer specification requirements.

  • Producing accurate, professional, and timely customer quotations.

  • Maintaining communication with customers regarding the status of their enquiries and obtaining feedback following quotation.

  • Managing live opportunities by maintaining regular contact with customers to facilitate conversion to orders.

Key Competencies

  • A strong understanding of engineering, including the ability to interpret drawings and specifications.

  • Proficiency in IT systems, including design software.

  • Effective and confident communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with both external customers and suppliers, as well as internally within the Airedale Springs team.

  • An organised and methodical approach to work, with the ability to plan, meet deadlines, and monitor performance against objectives.

  • Self-motivated and proactive, demonstrating a high level of initiative, responsibility, and problem-solving skills.
